BEL (also known as Isabel Whelan) performed as a solo act in Spring Sing 2017. BEL says, “Spring Sing was one of my favorite memories from UCLA! I met some of my closest friends and collaborators through Spring Sing and was honored to receive the award for Best Solo Act in 2017. I’m immensely grateful for the people I met and the opportunities I received as a Bruin!”

After graduating in 2018, BEL stayed in LA to continue to make music and play shows around town, with some of her favorites venues including Echo Park Rising and Hotel Cafe. She released her debut single in May 2020 and has since finished her debut EP, coming out later this year! She released two singles off of it earlier this year, “Treading Water” and “Something Beautiful.” She is hoping, in the near future, she can get back to playing live shows.
