SANJANA

Singer | Songwriter

UCLA Class of 2019

Sanjana performed in Spring Sing 2018 and 2019 and says it was an “important stepping stone in my career because it truly helped me become more confident in my abilities. It was such a memorable experience to share my music with such a large, welcoming audience. The show had this beautiful energy that transcended that night, and it inspired me to continue creating music that was authentic to me.”

After Spring Sing, Sanjana released her debut EP, "Water, I'll Grow" - a project about embracing the vulnerabilities of young adulthood. For example, one of the songs on the EP, “Can I,” is a playful take on the anxieties that come with overthinking. The title track, “Water, I’ll Grow,” is about taking inventory of what you are grateful for in the present. Sanjana says “I think these are emotions that all people in their twenties navigate; the transition from young adult to “actual adult” can be overwhelming. This EP represents dealing with those feelings, and allowing them to help you grow!”
