A classically trained violinist who is also an expert songwriter, arranger, composer, and producer, YAS is in every sense of the word, an “artist”. Picking up the violin at age six, she has toured the world performing classical repertoire with the top youth symphony orchestras. While attending UCLA, YAS double majored in violin performance and political science. She performed twice in Spring Sing 2014; as part of a duo and with The Street Hearts. Today, she records and performs violin with some of the biggest names in music - Selena Gomez, ASAP Rocky, Big Sean, Kanye West, NAS, Shawn Mendes, just to name a few. She has performed at the Grammys as well as Coachella. 

Yas plays, sings, produces and writes her own artist project with fellow UCLA alum Taylor Fugit. Past releases  include “Caroline” and “Empty Crown” which went on to accrue over 34 million streams across all platforms. In 2021, YAS reemerged with a series of releases that kicked off February 18th. YAS'  first installation,, which features her dark pop tracks TUCKITIN and LIAR LIAR has accrued over 250K streams in the first weeks of it’s release, with TUCKITIN landing the #20 spot on NMF, #2 on FRESH FINDS, #1 on Glass Animal International Women's Day playlist, as well as placement on SALT and a handful of other playlists. Her second installation, “BLUE.” which features her ballad tracks, was featured on Fresh Finds and Jasmine. 

Following the first release, YAS will continue to deliver project after project, each being titled after a different color. Over the course of her upcoming projects, YAS will not only showcase the range in her voice and production abilities, but also her deep understanding of human emotions. RED., BLUE., PURPLE., and YELLOW., as they will be titled, will lead into her debut COLORS LP which is slated to release this fall.
