76TH ANNUAL SHOW
WHAT IS SPRING SING AND HOW DID IT BEGIN?
This is some text inside of a div block.

An unprecedented year calls for a once-in-a-lifetime show! Presented by the Student Alumni Association & UCLA Alumni Association, Spring Sing 2021 is unlike any other.

Since its debut in 1945, Spring Sing has become a living and breathing extension of the UCLA community, encapsulating student life through music, comedy, dance and art.

With past locations such as Pauley Pavilion and the Hollywood Bowl, this iconic UCLA tradition has transformed itself time and time again over the past 76 years. And if this year’s incarnation has taught us anything, it’s that the magic of Spring Sing doesn’t live in a singular location or even on campus. It lives in its student creators.

Over 150 UCLA students overcame enormous obstacles this year to create the dynamic songs, dances, and comedy that made up this year’s show. Some of them were singular ideas dreamt up in isolation, while others served as our only means of community in a suddenly virtual college experience. Never has it been so important to use art to elevate the diverse stories that make up our Bruin family and shape the crucial moments of joy, laughter, and catharsis that keep us connected and resilient.

We are so grateful to our cast and crew for the innovation and perseverance they put into this show, especially our production crew, who took everyone’s ideas and brought them to life without ever sacrificing quality or accessibility.

Our Spring Sing has come to mean more than stadium applause or celebrity appearances. It is a celebration of our collective strength and creativity. And though we couldn’t share the physical stage this year, we are so grateful to share our show with you, wherever you are.
